On Thursday, August 8, 2019, Dvir Sorek, 19, a yeshiva student at Ohr Torah Mahanayim, in Gush Etzion, Israel, was stabbed to death and his body dumped on the side of a road near Migdal Oz, Israel. At the time of his death, he was returning from Jerusalem, Israel, where he had gone to purchase books. Migdal Oz is approximately 42 kilometers (26 miles), on a circuitous route, south of Jerusalem, Israel.
During the early morning hours of Saturday, August 10, 2019, Israeli authorities raided a home in the Hebron, Israel area town of Beit Kahil, Israel, about 30.5 kilometers (19 miles) south of Migdal Oz, Israel, and arrested alleged Muslim terrorists Natzir Al-Atzafra and Qassem Al-Atzafra for Sorek’s murder. Approximately 100 Arabs hurled stones at Israeli authorities during the arrest.
On October 3, 2019, Israeli news sources reported that indictments for the murder of Dvir Sorek, and various related charges, had been filed against alleged Muslim terrorists Qassem Al-Atzafra, Natzir Al-Atzafra, Ahmed Al-Atzafra, Yoseif Zahur and Mahmoud Attuna.
