On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Rabbi Raziel Shevach, who was 35 and a father of six, was murdered by a Muslim terrorist in a drive-by shooting near R. Shevach’s home in Havat Gilad, Israel.
On Tuesday, February 6, 2019, Ahmad Nassar Jarrar, a suspected leader of the terrorist group who murdered R. Shevach, was shot and killed by Israeli security forces when he exited a building while armed with a M-16 assault rifle and explosives.
R. Shevach is survived by his wife Yael Shevach, four daughters, and two sons.
