Car Shooting AttackJune 29, 2015 |
On the evening of Monday, June 29, 2015, Malachi Rosenfeld, 26, and three friends were returning home from a basketball game when Muslim terrorists opened fire on their car at point-blank range. The attack occurred near Shiloh, Israel, approximately 43 kilometers (27 miles) north of Jerusalem, Israel. Rosenfeld was airlifted to Shaare Zedek Hospital, in Jerusalem, where he died the following day.
At the time of his murder, Malachi was a student at Hebrew University, where it was anticipated that, in July 2015, he would be awarded a bachelor’s degree with honors in philosophy, economics, and business management.
On July 16, 2015, it was reported that Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian terror group Hamas, had claimed responsibility for the Rosenfeld’s murder.
Israeli courts determined that at least 6 Muslims, including dual U.S. citizen Ahmad Najar, were responsible for a string of terror attacks on Jews, including the murder of Malachi Rosenfeld.
