Barkan Terror AttackOctober 7, 2018 |
On Sunday, October 7, 2018, shortly before 8:00 a.m., a Muslim terrorist entered a factory in the Barkan Industrial Park, Barkan, Israel, where he used a submachine gun to shoot two Jewish workers to death.
Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel, a 29-year old mother of an infant child from Rosh Ha’ayin, Israel and Ziv Hajbi, a 35-year-old father of three from Rishon Lezion, Israel, died at the scene. The Muslim terrorist also shot and seriously injured a woman in her 50’s.
Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel is survived by her husband and infant child.
Ziv Hajbi is survived by his wife and three children.
Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa, accused by Israeli authorities as having been the Muslim terrorist responsible for the Barkan terror attack, was shot and killed on December 13, 2018, by an Israeli counterterrorism unit, after Na’alwa opened fired on the officers who were attempting to arrest him.
Shortly before the murders, Na’alwa reportedly wrote on his Facebook page that he was “waiting for [Allah].”
Both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad reportedly applauded the attack.
Israeli investigators said they later learned that the death of Na’alwa prevented another terrorist attack which Na’alwa reportedly had been planning.
